New york city lead paint removal question is the landlord responsible? (2,789 views)

i had testing done in my apartment i have children under 6 living with me. my landlord never had it fixed so i took her to court and now she has to fix it. anyhow a contractor came he is licensed and told me that i will have to move out a few days for the work to be done or i can stay but me and the kids have to stay in a bedroom which is not feasible. They are too small and rambunctious they will go crazy also i need access to the bathroom and kitchen and the work is being done by the kitchen and near the bathroom. So i want to know isn’t the landlord responsible for moving us or at least paying for us to be in a hotel for the few days work is done? thanks

contact your local Building Code Enforcement Office. They can give you all the information you need, do an inspection and issue violation orders.
